I recently booked a trueblue award ticket and Im unable to select a seat assignment. Are all TB awards like this or is it a glitch with my reservation?

I recently booked a trueblue award ticket and Im unable to select a seat assignment. Are all TB awards like this or is it a glitch with my reservation?
It might be because the only seats left are even more speed/space seats, which aren't given as free upgrades unless that's all that's left. If that's the case, a seat will be assigned at the gate.

No there are plenty of seats available. Is it possible to pay for an EML seat when on an award ticket?
