I read on Hawaiian Airlines' facebook page that they are partnered with Jetblue now. What does that mean? Can I use HA miles to book Jetblue flights?

Members of both carriers’ frequent flyer programs can soon earn and redeem loyalty points or miles for travel on either airline. Travellers can also find convenient connections between points throughout the East Coast and points throughout Hawaii with the signing of a new codeshare agreement. Both agreements will be in effect on June 5, when Hawaiian launches the only nonstop service between New York City and Hawaii with daily widebody flights between JetBlue’s Terminal 5 at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York City and Honolulu International Airport (HNL). [snip] Reciprocal Benefits for Frequent Flyers Effective June 5, JetBlue’s TrueBlue members can accrue one point for every two miles flown on eligible Hawaiian-operated flights, while HawaiianMiles members will be able to earn miles on eligible JetBlue-operated flights on a mile-for-mile basis. To earn points or miles on the entire trip, customers must call JetBlue or Hawaiian Airlines reservations to enter their TrueBlue or HawaiianMiles number into their itinerary prior to travel. Frequent fliers can also redeem their points or miles for travel on either airline’s network by calling their program’s reservation desk. [snip] Codeshare Allows Hawaiian to Market East Coast Connections Effective May 30, Hawaiian has placed its HA code on a host of connecting JetBlue flights, making it easy to find the most convenient connections between points throughout the East Coast and points throughout Hawaii in worldwide reservations systems. Codesharing provides one-stop check-in, seamless flight connections and boarding passes all the way through from origin to destination. Customers may book their codeshare connecting travel online at HawaiianAirlines.com, on third party travel sites or by calling Hawaiian Airlines or their preferred travel agent. using HA miles on Jetblue flights.. 0 99 — 10,000 100 179 15,000 20,000 180 259 25,000 30,000 260 339 35,000 40,000 340 419 45,000 50,000 http://www.hawaiianairlines.com/alohajetblue Jaimito Cartero May 30, 12, 1:35 pm using HA miles on Jetblue flights.. 0 99 — 10,000 100 179 15,000 20,000 180 259 25,000 30,000 260 339 35,000 40,000 340 419 45,000 50,000 http://www.hawaiianairlines.com/alohajetblue Just to clarify, the first two figures are a $ value of a ticket. bitachu May 30, 12, 1:45 pm i still can't find info on how much jet blue will charge for flights on Hawaiian..might be beneficial for interisland(due to short distances) WrightHI May 30, 12, 3:13 pm After months of teasing, it's nice to see some news, but no indication when those codeshares will be available on Hawaiian's website? Using the JetBlue connections isn't going to be very attractive if they can only be booked with the call center (shudder). WrightHI May 31, 12, 1:19 pm And now they're up. You'd think a well-run airline would have the website ready to go BEFORE they pushed the button on the press release, but it's there now. Sorry to see no connections to DCA or IAD, but this is a step in the right direction. EZR2BALOHA May 31, 12, 8:57 pm Definitely a step in the right direction!! sbm12 Jun 6, 12, 5:28 pm i still can't find info on how much jet blue will charge for flights on Hawaiian..might be beneficial for interisland(due to short distances) You have to call to get the numbers. I was speaking with someone from TrueBlue yesterday before the inaugural JFK-HNL and they indicated that there actually is a chart now but they didn't remember the details off-hand. I will call and try a few routes one of these days but I'm actually in Hawaii now and not so inclined. ;) The earning rates between Hawaiian and JetBlue are just OK (http://boardingarea.com/blogs/thewanderingaramean/2012/05/jetblue-hawaiian-announce-details-on-frequent-flyer-reciprocity/). Crediting HA metal to B6 is 50% or 25% (75% in F) of the miles flown. Crediting B6 metal to HA is 100% for most fares and 50% for the cheapest. But JetBlue doesn't actually publish the fare class purchased anywhere I've seen. matti2d Jun 9, 12, 5:17 pm confirming that you can not earn HA status on B6 flights? asu-ua772 Jun 9, 12, 7:05 pm confirming that you can not earn HA status on B6 flights? http://help.hawaiianair.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1874 Segments and miles earned on charter flights, partner airlines, HawaiianMiles partners, bonus miles, or miles earned through the HA Visa Card do not count towards Premier Status.
