I've moved your query over to the MR Discussion forum as threads created in the MR Deals forum are only for sharing excellent MR fares. The forum sticky is a useful resource for new members about how the forums work and where to post your topics so would encourage you to browse it. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/mileage-run-deals/454485-welcome-mileage-run-forum-important-information-how-mr-forums-work.html tcook052 MR Moderator clacko May 21, 12, 10:24 am there are 2 threads on this currently on page 2 of this forum..... mod aleret sent to maybe combine w/the general 1... yorock May 21, 12, 10:36 am In my experience, it is rare to find a true MR on DL out of Atlanta. Since this is their main hub, they can offer non-stop flights to more cities than other airlines. This is important because most MRs need at least one connection to reach a low cpm. I think this is often the case for fares out of hub cities of an major airline. DL will sometimes match a true MR fare from AA or UA, but the cpm is not usually as low because it will typically be a non-stop flight. And if you try and route through another DL hub the price usually increases dramatically. You can still get good DL fares out of ATL, but the miles won't be be great. If you just want to keep an eye out for good deals, I would visit Clark Howard's Atlanta Travel Deals (http://www.clarkhoward.com/travel/atlanta-travel-deals/) page, which is updated often. tfc3rid May 21, 12, 12:54 pm If you are in the ATL area and want to do a real mileage run on DL, you are going to have to look either to CLT or MCO/TPA or FLL/MIA... clacko May 21, 12, 1:02 pm If you are in the ATL area and want to do a real mileage run on DL, you are going to have to look either to CLT or MCO/TPA or FLL/MIA... & bna maybe.... tfc3rid May 21, 12, 1:57 pm & bna maybe....
