Virgin Atlantic Flying Club - Using VS miles on Singapore Airlines in business and first

Does anyone know if using miles on SA in business and first will ever resume?
What did they stop it in the first place as SA own 49% of VA?

ISTBC but SIA halted redemptions for F and J for all partners when they introduced the new suites on their A380 and B777 aircraft ... that still remains in force.

How they get away with it, especially within *A, is beyond me.

*A needs SQ. At the end of the day, what would they do - force them to leave because they aren't making J/F reward inventory available?

Actually SQ has since opened up those new J/F (except Suites) awards for *A partners... but it seems like they either forgot about VS, or that VS has not persued them enough.

So, you mean on any aircraft without suites, so not A380s or 773s? Which would be as it was, and makes redeeming say from the UK in J or F impossible, or has that changed?

It is possible to redeem in Business (not First/Suites AFAIK) using *A miles on the A380/B77W & is therefore possible out of UK to SIN & beyond. A quick look at the bmi board's ".....successful redemptions"... thread will confirm this.

Thanks for that, at least for *A that's progress for J redemptions, but still not possible with VS miles as far as I know.
