Anyone know what the past frequency of hotel transfer bonuses to US has been? I've got a big stash of Wyndham points that I need to transfer to US to book the ticket I'm eyeing for August (and I need to give them time to post), but I'd hate to transfer a pile of points and miss a 50% bonus or something.
Also, when you transfer hotel points, is the date that matters for promos like that the date when you initiated the transfer, or the date when the miles finally post to your account?

Typically ( Historically ) they have transfer bonus once a year. The previous ones were in May 2010 & May 2011. So I think you might be out of luck. My guess is ( and this is just a guess! ), they may come up with another buy/share/gift bonus/promo in June. You could take advantage of that if you dont want to spend your hotel points now.

I got all of my Wyndham points from the Daily Getaway deal in April, as did many other people...so it may not be a coincidence that they ran a transfer bonus immediately beforehand (and in March rather than May as in past years). I'm mostly debating whether I should hold off until June 1st to initiate the transfer (since knowing US, there'll be some promotion or other next month).
