my wife is forcing me to use an imac. it is sort of the latest model with latest software(she refuses to function as admin on a win machine) with a 24" screen.

1. even at max power the mouse is way to slow. 1' of mouse movenemt is 6" of cursor.
2. the scroll bar is close to 1/8 wide. i have to fish for the thing. how do i make it wider?

3. how do i make the cursor attach to something without being directly over it?

4. how do i make the screen fonts larger than 8 point ?

Preferences (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2490)

System Preferences controls system-wide settings ("global" settings), and is available from the Apple () menu at the upper-left corner of the screen. System Preferences lets you to adjust things like your screen resolution, keyboard control, mouse control, sound, printer settings, sharing settings, accounts, and more.

Are you running the latest OS, Lion?

The scroll bars disappear when you aren't using them. Just scroll, you don't need them to scroll. You'll get used to the natural scrolling or you can change that too. Just google it. Also you might like the trackpad better than the mouse.

Anyway, the thing is whatever problem you are having getting used to Lion or the mac, somebody else has also had or somebody has written about it and how to change it.
