I was looking at the news section on Google about CX and I saw something odd about a picture on one of the articles. It doesn't seem too different from the current one, except the title is now in billboard form just like SQ. Also the colour of the livery has been repositioned, the light green paint is now positioned at the top half of the AC instead of the bottom half. Other parts of the livery are unknown. It just seems like a small update, just like AF, QF and SQ

I've only based the new livery on the image that was shown (It was a very small picture)

The picture doesn't look photoshopped, it was shown on the Sydney Morning Herald and I don't think a major newspaper would have the time to photoshop stuff like this; it makes no sense if they do something like this.

Closer view of the livery (Sorry for the pixelation):

Yep, looks kinda like this (http://www.pbase.com/aviationimagesrf/image/133400865). Lazy reporting.

It might also be the 50th anniversary edition here (http://www.surclaro.com/photo6725.html).

Oh now see it, the angle of the image made it seem like a 777 or A330; also the engine seemed a little bit too white. Thanks for clearing it up.

But what if CX did update their livery to the billboard form, in the future?

Interesting photo (http://www.pbase.com/aviationimagesrf/image/133400865). Is it my eyes, or are the numbers three and four engine nacelles painted differently?

The engine nacelles are different. Not unusual, maintenance will "steal" them off another plane, probably a "silver bullet" painted plane, thus the metal panels.
