On the heels of the new COS service starting today, new flights to San Diego and Orlando are announced for this fall:

They've also had PR pieces for BIS and CID service in the past few days, but I didn't see a promo pieced for MKE-PIT which started yesterday ;)

For what it's worth, the new COS flights seems to be booking pretty well so far. Of course so is MKE-PIT...

For what it's worth, I am happily surprised to find that award travel westward out of Milwaukee is not maxed out with people using miles this summer. Either there's generous award seat allocation, or people are not burning them en masse. Just booked a trip for mid June and found 12,500 mile seats available on many flights on many days as we were shopping.

So while we don't have new flights, at least we can use our miles....

I remember Jay Sorensen's admonition of a few weeks ago:

"Use those miles, before you can't. With fewer flights, miles will become useless booking a flight from MKE."

I used a bunch for companion tickets in March and my father dumped a bunch of his recently. Sadly I have no flights scheduled at all right now :(.

A small silver lining of the drastic Frontier pullback is that Jay Sorensen's expert opinion becomes increasingly irrelevant.

Soon, Jay Sorensen will have nothing to comment about. Midwest is gone, Frontier is drastically downsizing. I guess that leaves Mike Boyd, Tom Daykin and Rich Rovito. He can sit at home in Shorewood and watch his consulting business deteriorate.

Wow! What a surprise! I didn't even know F9 is starting nonstop COS-MCO but, is that first-ever brand new nonstop. What's next? How about FLL, TPA, BOS, TUS, CID, BOI, ATL, RDU and etc.

You would love it out here. As a Midwest refugee (geography, not airline) myself, it's the best decision (moving out here) I have ever made.

Hoping that's sarcasm. If so...^^^
