JetBlue TrueBlue - Tell me about the overhead space on the 190?

Been a long time since I flew a short haul, but we're going to DC tomorrow and just realized we're on the 190.
Can I get a standard sized rollaboard in the overhead compartment?
Probably not boarding early in the process.
Thanks.

Normal carry on size rollaboard typically do fit in the overheads on the E190s as long as you don't overstuff it. If all of the bins are full before you before they will gate check your bag through to baggage claim at DCA. FYI they are usually really quick about getting the bags to baggage claim from Terminal A

Thanks very much.
Thought we were in a 320, will have to replann the packing a bit to make sure valuables stay with us in case we get gate checked.

They do fit, but not overstuffed and not "wheels in" so fewer fit on the plane. I get a seat in the back (row 21ish) for the extra inch of leg room and getting to board first, just in case. The bins over 24/25 on the starboard side of the plane have the overheads used for galley space so don't plan on stowing stuff there.

Incase they don't fit in, do you pay extra for the checked in baggages?

As long as it's a "normalish" carry on bag, you won't be charged extra to check it. Keep in mind that JetBlue does offer one free checked bag per passenger anyway, but this won't count against that limit.
