Here's an interesting one I just came across

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/ASA7802

AS7802 is 5 mins away from landing, at 00:37 local, in Cordova, AK. AS does fly the route from Anchorage, but usually on AS61 & AS66, in the middle of the day.

Looks like they fuel up and leave for Seattle at 2:15am.

Weird.

AS just posted on Facebook about the arrival of the first of the Copper River Salmon 10 minutes ago. Guessing that's this flight, and that wasn't fuel they were picking up in Cordova!

Exactly - as per our local news, it was a special run for the Copper River salmon. It arrived in Seattle early this morning.

There's even a famous Gladys Knight song about this flight.
♫♫ He's leaving, on that midnight plane to Cordova...♫♫
I am surprised you are not familiar with it.

Lived in ANC for 23 years, enjoyed the CR salmon but as a current resident of JNU, I will express my opinion that the troll-caught Southeast king is a superior fish.

^^

I don't understand this fascination with CRS. They just don't know what they're missing.

And I do remember years ago taking a midnight flight from JNU to SEA. It was a last minute emergency and I honestly can't remember flight details or anything.

I don't care what the judges said...Jason Wilson's dish was by far the best.
