anyone used thankyou points to rent a car - is the price, really the final price?
i am looking to rent a car in August in SEA. I don't rent cars often, so not sure about this one...
i am a citi thankyou member. when i searched for a car the price is $421. the exact same thing on thrifty website is $1,068 - with a price breakdown of airport charges estimated at $330. obviously a price difference.
If I book the with citi thankyou at $421 (which does not show any airport charges in the final cost) am I going to get dinged for the $330 airport fees at the checkout counter when i go to pick up the car in SEA? ultimately making the cost >$700?
