Peru - Cusco to Ollantaytambo taxi

I am landing in Cusco at 915 am and wish to take a train on the same day from Olly to Machu Picchu as I need to return the same day. I have 2 train options one with Peru rail at 1258 am and the other with Machu Picchu train at 12:36. I have only one day there so wondering if I would make the 12:36 train. We would be taking a cab and would want to stop to drop off our luggage at a hotel in Urambaba on the way.

You might want to scan through this thread - if you are staying in Urubamba, are you at the Sheraton?

yes staying at Tambo del Inka, Urubamba due to my spg points. That is an awesome thread about the hotel and the area. I did a search before I started the thread but did not think there would be one about the hotel too!
