Qatar Airways Privilege Club - Authority to waive no-show + rebook fee?

Hi, is there any way I can request the no-show and rebooking fees to be waived? they account for 100 euros (no-show) and 50 euros (rebooking)

The reason is that because of a car emergency (flat tire on the way to airport), I ended up arriving to the airport 25 minutes after the bag drop had closed (flight departing 18:55, arrived at airport 18:30 with one bag to drop)

There was nobody at the check-in counter, so I had to go to the outsourcing company that handles qatar airways check-in and ticketing (swissport) and the clerk there said that the system was down for 20 minutes or so, so she said she did not have any ideas how she could help me.

I requested a rebooking to the next day's flight, and I was told I had to pay 150 euros. I requested that this fee be waived because of the emergency on my way to airport, and because I fly quite a lot with Qatar (Gold status 2010, 2011, Silver status 2009 and 2012)

Any ideas what to do in order to request the waiver?

My fare class was economy ("U") and I paid about EUR 1120 for the round trip flight to HKG from ATH.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

You need to contact the reservation office of your departure city where you missed your flight in order to send your request for the authorization for the waiver.

Many thanks Alex! Based on your experience and just as a guideline, would you think it's reasonable to request this waiver? Particularly for the no-show fee. I understand it's up to the reservation office to make the call but just wondering what your personal opinion would be on this.

As long as you have the legitimate reason for the waiver, I would recommend you to try to request for the consideration. However, the authorization for waiver is dependent on the city office of your departure city.

Please be noted that the check in counters open 03 hours prior to the departure and check in counters close 01 hour prior to the departure.
