Don't know the range of dates that this fare is available but if it coincides with Fat Tuesday, POS's Carnaval is said to be the best party in the Caribbean, if not the world...
If it doesn't work for Carnival then perhaps hop a commuter flight over to the beaches of Tobago?

Connect on to the Guyanas! Georgetown is just $195 from POS RT. Just don't forget your shots and the pyrethrin for the clothes. Unlike Europe, the Guyanas in summer are not overly crowded with tourists.:D
5/26 -- 7/3 also works for $219. Use your favorite card to get more miles as you stock up on Quinine.

Yes, I know when Lent begins.
My point was that if this was an EOS fare (no fare rules have yet been posted) then Carnival season would certainly be within the next 331 days...

There don't appear to be any date restrictions in the fare rules. I see availability through next spring. Routing is MIA-IAH-POS only. 7 day advance purchase, but no ticket-by date, so don't expect this to hang around for very long.

It is perhaps the best !
I don't see dates that work perfectly for carnival,
but... Feb 4-12 is not bad at $219. :D

Not sure what "this" flight means...they run a flight every hour or two, from 5 in the am until 1am. And I checked just yesterday for fares a week out: US$24 one way! Incredible. http://www.caribbean-airlines.com/
And yes, I've flown it. The flight is so short its over before it starts. The maddening part is all the waiting to get on that little 20 minute thing. I'd consider swimming (ok, not really, but you get my point). Adding up the time to taxi/drive to airport, then waiting an hour or 90 minutes for the flight to load, then flying, then landing and getting out at TAB, I betcha you could do much better by boat. Seriously.

There's a good story there, I'd like to hear itwell, it isn't actually that dramatic a story.
I took the plane, some friends took the boat.
It wen't all through the night; they were seasick the whole way.
That route crosses some open ocean with big swells.
So they said.... maybe they were just hungover.
actually, that was a few decades ago.

If you dig around, you'll find fares from $190 for 2 days, $200 for 1 day, $219 for 6 days, etc. I wish there was a good way to position for this deal --- but it looks impossible to do without over-nighting in MIA both ways.
For a 1-day turnaround, there's a Holiday Inn close to the airport with a free shuttle. Otherwise you're looking at high taxi fares ~$50 to downtown (about 17 miles) or one of the major hotels -- there really are only two -- the Hilton and the Hyatt. I've spend over 300 nights at the Hilton, so naturally I recommend it, but the Hyatt is newer and you can walk around downtown from there. If you don't mind driving on the left, there are several car rental agencies at the airport, and rates are not too bad.

I snagged two of these from BWI, both on days I could take the MARC up there from DC. Paid $397 and $417, totaling 3.99 CPM for 20,364 PQM.
The problem with this one is that you have to overnight in the FLL/MIA area two different nights, plus the hotel in POS (which I understand you can do for about $100/night at the Holiday Inn near the airport). I have access to a flat and a car in FLL, otherwise this wouldn't be worth it. But it's nice to get more PQM than a trip to Europe for less than half the price in a single weekend.
