InterContinental Hotels: Priority Club & Inter-Continental Ambassador - How long does it take for the ambassador package to arrive?

A friend of mine is going to sign up for the ambassador privilege. He would like to use the complimentary weekend night coupon in his one-week stay from 15 June. Is it possible for him to receive the package with the coupon promptly if he signs up today? His mailing address is in Hong Kong.

Both times I have renewed it hasn't been quick. I renewed for this year mid April and the pack arrived last week.

I think you need to allow upto 4 weeks. However if you call and explain you wish to use the voucher sooner I don't see why they can't arrange it with the hotel directly.

You don't need the voucher to book the room, just use the link to the voucher booking area, you need voucher at checkin to get the credit for 2nd night, and this is where I'm sure they can help you out?

Sometimes it can arrive fast and sometimes they don't arrive at all as was the case with my RA package. Had to get RA service center to resend the whole thing.

The value of the voucher is not what it was as you now have to book at the 'special' bogo rate to use it, I've read on here that many people don't even bother using them. Pretty much as soon as you pay for it the Ambassador status will show online, regardless of when the card and other cobblers arrives.

I had the same issue. I applied earlier this morning for the status and called PC to ask for this to be expedited. They transferred me to Ambassador Services.

I was informed that the ambassador packages are processed by a vendor, so they couldn't expedite the process. After a little more pressing, she said she could process my enrollment (since I only applied today), but that was all she could do.

It takes up to 4-6 weeks to get the package.

I managed to get my package sent to a different address though (where I'll be in ~6 weeks).

i purchased Ambassador status using points on 5/9 and the package arrived in the mail today.
