I registered for the Radisson 50k points giveaway so I need to pay for one night hotel . I can pay for a $90 hotel about 30 miles from home but don't intend to stay there other than to check in and out OR I can pay 135 Euro for an airport hotel which I will definitely stay for my trip in a couple of weeks or use 28k points to stay at the hotel instead of 135 Euro then pay $90 to meet the condition of the Biggiveaway
Which is the most cost effective/best to do?

So, you get either
53k points (50k + normal points allowance) for €135/$175 or
24k points (50k + normal points allowance - 28k) for $90
The first alternative gets you about 300 pts/$, better than the 270 pts/$ you get on the second. You also avoid the hassle booking an extra room, checking in and out without needing the room.
