Thought I'd pass this on.....
Allegiant Air (G4) has announced additional new nonstop routes to begin either this summer or fall between the western U.S. and Honolulu (HNL) & Maui (OGG). Services will be flown with all coach class Boeing 757-200 aircraft.
Here are the new routes announced as of today (May 15) along with the previously announced service with the effective dates:
Effective 6/29: Las Vegas (LAS) - HNL
Effective 6/30: Fresno, CA (FAT) - HNL
Effective 11/14: Bellingham, WA (BLI) - OGG
Effective 11/15: Bellingham, WA (BLI) - HNL
Effective 11/17: Eugene, OR (EUG) - HNL
Effective 11/17: Santa Maria, CA (SMX) - HNL
Effective 11/17: Stockton, CA (SCK) - HNL
Many of these flights are planned to only operate once a week, at least initially. Others will operate twice a week. It also appears that G4's 757s will be based at HNL. A check of their future HNL schedules also reveals no red eye flights. Flights will depart HNL in the morning for the mainland and then return in the afternoon or evening back to HNL.
Allegiant is big into packaging hotels, rental cars and other things with their flights as part of their travel services (which is apparently their business plan with regard to attempting to be a total leisure travel company).
