I know it's a little late in the day, but I just found it.

If I knew ANYONE in Cleveland, I'd book two rooms right now for tonight and pay for them.

That's an insane price for a Renaissance (Marriott brand)!

eta: Also found it on 5/20 using the rate calendar.

I live in Cleveland and would take advantage of this in a heartbeat. There are some great bars and restaurants within walking distance. It would be great not to have to worry about driving home!

I'm getting $120 per night on 5/20, which is still cheap but not tempting enough for someone that lives 20 minutes away.

Too bad this is probably one of the worst Renaissance hotels I've ever seen. The rooms are old and dingy, and the lounge is a sad sight.

When did you stay? This hotel lobby/lounge area was updated within the last couple of years. I've stayed here a few times and haven't found the rooms to be at all as you've described them. The hotel is old and the self parking is terrible, but overall it's on par with other Renaissance's I've stayed in.

Just FYI, this rate was for the opening night of Ohio's first casino (Horseshoe Casino). The Las Vegas-style casino is now open 24x7, and is in the old Higbee department store building (anyone that's seen the movie 'A Christmas Story' knows the department store well). The casino and this Renaissance are both connected to Tower City and the Terminal Tower, and they are maybe 500' away from each other, and both face Public Square. There is a lot to do within walking distance (great restaurants on E. 4th St., clubs on W. 6th and W. 9th, Indians baseball games, etc.). If you're here on a weekend, pay a few bucks to go up to the recently restored Terminal Tower Observation Deck - it is worth it...360 degree views of the city, and photography is allowed.

The casino now owns the Ritz Carlton (also connected to Tower City), and has hotel deals with the Ritz, Renaissance, and Marriott. Expect to see more hotel deals available with the new casino partnership.

The Renaissance is a Category 4 hotel, so if anyone has any MegaBonus nights to burn by 5/31/12, this would be a great place to use them at (if the hotel isn't sold out).
