Star Alliance - Highest elite bonus with minimal qualification criteria

I'm looking for a way to earn the maximum Star Alliance miles from an upcoming series of trips on Thai Airways in J. It credits 200% to A3 and LH for example. United and US Airways are 150%/125%.

Now I kept thinking why not get elite status (I have none so far) first and get a 100% elite bonus as well :) So what is an easy way to get elite status first and the to accumulate the highest amount of (useful) miles.

I did find the Platinum status at USAirways for $600 which could work but expires after 90 days as I won't fly US Airways (only Thai).

I did see TAM come up for my searches for least miles required a lot. However I'm always redirected to the Brazilian site and Google Translate gave up - will that one fit my criteria?

You would obviously need a program that gives you 100% bonus miles for TG flights but I am not aware of any *A FFP having this feature. Just go for A3's program and you will have status fairly quickly.

Thanks. Does A3 have an elite bonus once you become Gold?

No, there is no elite bonus with A3 (neither Blue nor Gold).

This is true, but A3 gives generous percentages to some carriers' premium cabin fare classes.
