Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan - One-way partner awards possible in the future

I apologize if this is old news, but I can't find a thread on it.
I recently spoke to a reservation agent who said that AS plans on implementing one-way partner awards (the agent did not indicate if this was to occur across the board, but as we were talking about AA it'd at least extend to it). The agent said that they are currently testing the system/implementation, and if it ends up working out as planned we should expect to see them by the end of the year or early 2013.
Definitely good news.

I was on the phone with the Partners Desk last week and asked about one-way partner awards. The agent thought they might be available at the end of the year.

That would be pretty awesome if we could get them for AA/AF/BA/DL/KL.

Probably not by the end of the year; the project officially got under way this week. I'm guessing mid 2013 is when we may expect to see them, and odds are they'll be rolled out in stages.
