Hi there,
I am juggling around some flight options and was wondering whether or not at 16 you can fly with AF as a complete INDEPENDENT as if you were an adult fiying with them.
Or do you still need to undergo an Unaccompanied Minnor scheme?

You probably can find this info on the AF website; if not, call them.
You will probably need a document from your parents giving permission to travel as well as a passport or other ID.
I don't know the AF rules, but the UM programs of most carriers end at age 15.

The service is available at any age, but is only mandatory for children under 12. So basically, 12-18 can travel by themselves. You'll need proper documentation but I am not sure it's airline specific.

For international flights, UM is mandatory until 14 years old. 15 years and older can travel alone (proper travel documents provided).

Indeed. This thread was a follow-up from one in the BA forum, so I had inferred that it was a flight domestic flight that was being considered. You're of course right in the case of an international flight.
