I just won a bet, and my boss owes me a business class flight from TLV to any point in North America via Europe with any operator I'd like within *A.
I have a nice experience with LH and an even nicer with LX. I have no inter-continental business class experience with any other operator.
I heard good things about the flat seats of AC. Not sure about the food, though.
What would you pick?

Two alternatives come to mind. SQ FRA-JFK lie flat business on A388 and NZ LHR-LAX lie flat business on 77W.
If you like LX there is always ZRH-LAX.

+1 on SQ, NZ, and LX.

If you want a real Europe/NA operator, AC is among the best and not too far off from LX in the air, imo. I despise AC as a company but the actual airline is just fine. Food isn't that great on AC but if you want good food you can try TK which serves world-class food in C. Despite some FT'ers gripes about LH C, I actually don't mind them at all either. I'd still put LH some distance behind TK/AC/LX though.
I think SQ/NZ really limit your options so I'd rather fly one of the previous options unless you really want to go to LAX or NYC. Even then, to catch the NZ flight how would you get to LHR on *A from TLV? Through FRA?
