I wonder if anyone is able to recommend a conventional style travel agent in Shanghai, not internet clicking but regular style service.

The good hotels should know. Frequently there is a small travel agent office on site.

I am more interested in finding an agent dealing with a cross section of expats and the local populace. I am less interested in hotel inhouse travel agencies.

What are you trying to accomplish? I ask because I don't know anyone --expat or local-- who avails of such services these days, but I might be able to point you in the right direction.

I would like to fins someone who offers are personal travel service, there are many in London, the sort of agent who does not simply act as a surrogate internet website finder, but someone who offers big spending clients cost effective solutions to their travel needs. the sort of person would bring value to the table by applying their expert knowledge and experience in finding value deals.

There are a number in London and a few in BKK, I would like to find some in China.
