Hello everyone,
The long version:
My g/f and myself decided to treat ourselves to a nice vacation after years without one. We're from NYC and would like to travel south during August, in an all inclusive vacation.
We spent literally over 12 hours already researching. It seems like Cancun is our destination, because it's a fairly short flight, all-inclusive hotels are priced reasonably and Chichen Itza is close by.
The problem begins with us not being able to settle for one place only. We want to try two types of resort and we thought the temptations cancun should be nice for 2-3 nights for the parties, sexy games, etc, and then ~5 more nights at excellence PM for the relaxation and service which is supposed to be one of the best.
All our searches in various travel sites showed that booking a flight and hotel together comes out to be cheaper. In our case, at least $300-600 cheaper, depending on the dates and resort. But no site (at least not one that I found) supports the option of allowing you to switch a hotel in the middle of your vacation. I figured booking two hotels+ flight should cost less than a package and then additional hotel or everything seperatly, but I don't know how to do that... Any ideas or tips would be greatly appreciated.

I'm looking for a website or online travel agency that will allow me to book a roundtrip flight + two specific cancun resorts, and still enjoy a "package" discount. I wish to enjoy two different resorts on one trip but no travel website seems to offer that option.
