I know traditionally SQ is the better airline but SQ operates the 777-200. It seems like TG has some better A/C on this route. What would be the be better airline choice for this route? Which has more extensive food/lounge options?

Has to be SQ. Just for a short flight SQ service is far superior. better food choice and own lounge at SQ - less crowded

Iīve flown both SQ and TG on the BKK-SIN route and didnīt find there was a huge difference, but would probably choose SQ due to the better food.
No big difference when it comes to the hard product IMO: Both SQ and TG use the 777 with regional C seats in a2-2-2 config.
Itīs only a 2h flight anyway.

ALMOST SAME ANIMAL ON THIS SHORT ROUTE"......BUT I would choose SQ out of SIN and TG out of BKK. REASON:
TG leaving BKK has there own priority security and it leads right to lounge
SQ leaving SIN as SQ has a better lounge in T-3

But BKK flights depart from T2 !

TG lounge in SIN is HORRIBLE! I could not believe I was in a TG lounge it was so bad.

If it's really BKK-SIN one way, pick TG for the lounge. Otherwise, if the RT must use the same carrier in both directions, it's extremely close, but I would pick SQ at the same price.

I'm not a huge fan of SQ but I flew SQ on this route twice last month and I was quite pleased with it. I like SQ's extensive beverage selection so I would give them the nod in the air over TG. SKLs are not that impressive but neither are the TG C lounges at BKK. If you want a quick neck/foot massage at BKK TG is better for the ROS. Like others said, TG ex-BKK and SQ ex-SIN is probably the way to go.

Also doesn't TG allow you to pre-book a meal in C? Which is the best business class lounge to use in BKK?
