Hertz - Need 800 hertz points

I have 1200 in my account and need 2000 for a 4 day rental . Is it possible to buy hertz points or what's the best way to exchange points from airline or hotel accounts.

The only option is to rent and earn or buy the points. For 800 points it would cost $160.00, it is $0.20 per point to purchase.

This must be the most expensive points in the system. I thought spg where a lot. What do we get per rental is it 100 or 200 ?

Well, the currencies are all unique...personally, I think the SPG cost for direct purchase is quite good - I usually get about that or better in terms of value from hotel awards. (Probably why it's capped annually.) Hertz at 20 cents per point can be a decent value if you're a few points short of an award.

But probably not a great value being 800 points short of an award. :) For 2,000 points, you're just talking about a regular car - probably best to just pay the going rate for it or Priceline it. Or use the two free days and pay for two.

As Fin Foot (great handle) stated one-way awards can easily be worth the 20cpm Hertz charges, though I have never paid for Hertz points and never will. How much is your potential rental going to cost?

It's for a (4) day weekend rental . I want to pick up in los Angeles drive to las Vegas and then return it back to JW Marriott la live. It's about $250+ for the rental.
Living in Sydney ,australia I really don't rent many cars except for the previous us airways gland slam so I thought I should use my points while I'm in the states. I have 1200 so far .
I have a rental coming up In europe for 200 euros that should give me a few hundred more points in a PC is it still $1:1 ?

25% PC bonus, so $1:1.25 points.

Are you picking up at LA Live? You need to return it to the exact same location as pickup on a points rental unless you specifically choose a one way rental, which costs twice the points.
