Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles - Variation in cabin crew attitudes on TK

Hi,

Just completed a return trip in business from LHR to HKG via IST. The variation in attitudes and service between the different crews is quite surprising.

Sometimes drinks before departure, sometimes not. Sometimes a lot of information relating to delayed departures, for example, sometimes not.

On the final leg back to LHR this morning, there was no power to my seat for the tv handset and the power socket.

I told the cabin manager, he said he would check it out, and never returned. So I asked one of the attendants, she would have a look at it, never did. So I gave up and went to sleep.

remember: most of the TK cabin crew are there for their looks! nothing else!

Very true. Recently I flew 4 sectors within a week with TK in Comfort class and all the 4 set of crews had totally different attitude. Even the same set of crew seems to behave differently (had the same crew when I flew the next day back from HKG to IST). They were quite conservative and no smiles at all on the outbound, but on the inbound, they were a bit more cheerful and even greeted nearly every single passengers good morning when distributing the hot towels for before breakfast.

One thing for sure, all of them disappears after meal/drink service and you will hardly see any of them. Sometimes I think that from service point of view they are worst than the FA's from US airlines which at least does do some cabin walk around between meal/drink services.

I do wonder how will they ever get to the standard of the famous SQ girls as once proclaimed by the CEO of TK.

Cheers!
