Seen before on http://www.pelikan.sk/en/ , it seems that there is a sale by EtiHad from several European departures to Asia and Africa, the Swiss Franc is becoming weak so here we are with the 314 Euro for the return ticket.
Anyone of you guys could search if EtiHad is doing the same prices for Japan(Nagoya), China(Shanghai and Beijing), and Korea? It should be interesting...
Ciao a tutti, A.:)

Fare Basis: EBLITZWW Books into E.

Can book out of GVA and back into LHR/probably elsewhere. And yes, something is missing :p

I can see BJS/SHA/NGO all in the same sale (along with HKT/USM/KUL) but NGO is less good value (along with DPS) - but havn't checked that anything is 'missing' from those fares. Real difficulty getting availability back into UK at end of June though.

Actually - people should play around with this - some real gems to be found, but the basic restrictions are:

14. TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS
UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED
VALID FOR TRAVEL COMMENCING ON/AFTER 09MAY 12 AND ON/
BEFORE 14JUN 12. ALL TRAVEL MUST BE COMPLETED BY MIDNIGHT
ON 14JUN 12.
15. SALES RESTRICTIONS
UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED
TICKETS MUST BE ISSUED ON/AFTER 09MAY 12 AND ON/BEFORE
12MAY 12.

Someone else can do the earning potential.

DUB-SEZ-LHR can be booked for a fantastic 280 Euro on the airline website.

Personally, I'd have hidden this in the Trick It thread as there's a risk this could disappear if "the masses" get hold of it...

It disappears in a couple of days anyway, so no issue.

Also, i'm sorry to say but i've only had disparaging comments and unfriendliness in that thread, so I won't be posting anything in that.

Finally, it won't be of that much interest as its ex-EU. This is predominantly an ex-US forum. But thanks for that Seychelles hint, missed that. Shame it's such an expensive place to stay!

It's definitely still there for the dates I'm looking at...

the Swiss Franc is becoming weak so here we are with the 314 Euro for the return ticket.

not sure what you mean about the Swiss Franc becoming weak - it's trading at 1.20 to the EUR at the moment where the SNB pegged it back at the end of last year. Sure it weakened at that point from 1.07, but given that the 10 years I've been living in Switzerland with the accepted rate being between 1.40 and 1.60 to the Euro I would by no means call the current CHF weak.

Furthermore, given that the SNB has made a commitment to buy unlimited amounts of currency at the rate of 1.20 to prevent the CHF from strengthening any, combined with the fact that the CHF is pretty much sitting on 1.20, I'd say that a free market condition would have the currency strengthening to below par with the Euro if let take its own course.

In other words, a €314 fare would be CHF 377. Back in the old days, this €314 would have been CHF 471. I don't see this as having anything to do with the CHF...

Anyway, I've been looking and I can't find the damn thing. Is it an open jaw?

Out of Switzerland and back into wherever (not Switzerland), and for some reason, certain elements of the extras goes missing.

Other open-jaws are good, but not quite as good.

While those great fares mentioned in this thread may be harder to spot, the main trick mentioned in post#9 seems to work.

The E class farecode EBLITZWW sale fares have gone which were the main deal fares, however, just checked and the issues have not been fixed for other Etihad fares from Switzerland and into UK/EU - so perhaps other opportunities there (mainly for those in the trick it thread i'm guessing - but I will certainly look for other Etihad sales in the future in case this isn't fixed).

The offer was supposed to finish on Monday but when I checked on Saturday evening, the DUB-SEZ-LHR fares were back at "normal" sale levels, and none of the other combinations were as low as they were. So I guess it was spotted. Some slight discounts remain but it's not like it was.

Ah well, next time...

Nope - as I posted:

"TICKETS MUST BE ISSUED ON/AFTER 09MAY 12 AND ON/BEFORE
12MAY 12. "

So - tickets needed to be issued by Saturday at 11:59pm.

I'm afraid you just missed it. Nothings been fixed!

There is another sale on (for departures Sep onwards) I think in the UK - but if it ties in with a Geneva sale, it's twice as good, keep your eyes peeled ;)
