Why can't the people be more precise???
This is:
11cpm
or
0.11 $pm

But certainly not 0.11cpm

Getting sick of seing that! Ain't that so hard to quote in the right unit?

Who cares? (on this thread anyway) DCA-GRR $120 R/T A/I is not a MR by any stretch of the imgagination.

Why is everyone so negative? $120 a/i is a great RT fare between DCA and the Midwest. And yes, I'm aware of the "great deals" thread, but frankly, I think a new thread for a rarely-seen city pair (like DCA-GRR) can't hurt.

Thank you, run477, for the post! ^

Have you ever been confused about what a poster meant when using the incorrect units?

Yes many many times; haha I never understood why thats such a common arugument to justify being wrong... ~"because you can figure it out, why try to explain things correctly"

Really? You saw a fare and had no immediate intuitive sense of whether it was 11 cents per mile or a tenth of a cent per mile? I just don't buy it.

I guess I see the point of language as to communicate things, and if a wrong way of typing something communicates something perfectly, I don't see a point in getting my knickers in a twist about it. There are so many other things that people do wrong that we should worry about! :p

I'll agree that, being an order of magnitute off, you can pretty much always tell the difference, so yes I can intuite the true meaning...but because i'd rather not wake up on the set of Idiocracy :p, I'd rather worry about all the things :D

Also I don't think the comments being made are negative, just a desire to follow the "accepted" organizational structure of the forum. I think its a fine fare, love to see anything under $200.
