Star Alliance - Aegean: Cheap (distance-based) intra-Greece Award?
I am traveling ATH-JMK and JTR-ATH in June for Honeymoon. Flights are on hold for €245 per person, but was wondering if there was a better way to get there on miles. United wants the standard 25k for a coach award, which isn't worth it. Is there a program out there I don't know about that would price this award cheaper (like BA Avios does)? If not, we'll just go ahead and ticket these. Thanks for any help.
ANA is only 20K. Not great, but better. BD is also 20K but likely higher YQ fees.

€245 per person, is this a "real" ticket or the "taxes" for an award one? I'm absolutely certain you can find much cheaper paid tickets (did you check A3's and OA's pages?) in June in the first case, and as for an award...
Which program do you have miles in? A3 only require 18k for domestic business class return, but do you have miles with them?

€245 is the price for the revenue (non-award) ticket. This is on A3. OA is more expensive for our required times.

No A3 miles. Primarily Amex MR, Chase UR, SPG

A3 domestic (Greece, including Greek islands) award tickets are relatively cheap, but they are not distance based. You pay miles per segment, so that connecting flights become expensive in miles. More miles are required for award tickets that use *A partner flights or that cover Europe more generally.

What did you end up doing? I'm likely doing the same thing next July.
