I just saw that. Oh well I bet we will be swapping planes in SYD on Sunday. Did you get your tickets via the Business Class sale?

Note they lock the terminal up until 4:00, in fact you cannot go up the escalators/elevators to get to the departures level. You can go to the Car Park, by the manned service kiosk, where there is a room with a bench seat.
You do realise how cold it is going to be?

Obviously this trip is not well planned. I knew I should have stayed in a hotel room and returned on the afternoon flight. :rolleyes:

Here is where I need my usual luck for flight to be delayed an hour or 2 and then need to see how slowly I can get off the aircraft and through immigration. ;)

I will be flying SYD to ADL also on 23rd June around the same time as you are. I guess you have booked on QF 81. Unfortunately I am departing from T3 - didn't want the hassle of a pseudo-international flight departing from T1. Had I booked on QF81, I could have "guest" you into the F Lounge.

I am exactly the oppposite to your thinking actually - I don't mind those tag-on international flights as it gives me an opportunity to use a (slightly) better lounge.

Just been out to dinner with my son, and was browsing. This looks like the trip I remember you talking about a while back.
Good on you for booking it - I hope it all goes well. You will be exhausted , but it really is a huge swag of sc's compared to what we can get in this part of the world.
In MCO a few months back, huge construction work around the TSA areas - a nightmare. DO NOT LEAVE the sterile area.
In DFW leaving, QF goes from terminal D, and depending on your tummy, I suggest finding Cousin's BBQ, and getting a sandwich $8 or so - brisket or pulled pork etc..quite nice if you haven't had Texas BBQ before. But if you will get a good feed, on QF, I would leave BBQ for another time.

I am inside the WLG international departure terminal at 2:15am. My flight got in to WLG ~45 minutes early and I stayed in arrivals. Noticed that the DJ BNE-WLG flight was a little late and stayed just outside of the exit from customs/quarantine.

Most people had arrived and gone and I was still there along with another couple. One of the security came over and asked if the person picking me up was late. Long story short was escorted up to departures level where there are close to 20 people waiting.

I was told not to wander too far in case something happens. Great outcome and only a few more hours to wait and I have boarding passes already....

Good outcome for you and very surprised that there were that many waiting with you.
Had a very fast fligth yesterday from push back to engines off was around 2 hours 17 minutes, which meant I did not fininsh my movie as they prepared the cabin early for arrival, in Business Class no G2G IFE:(
