Does anyone know if this former DM partner has gone out of business? I was looking to buy some more stickers for newly acquired devices and it seems to be gone.
US Airways Dividend Miles - TrackItBack (Appears to be out of business!)View Full Version : TrackItBack (Appears to be out of business!) DCAorBust May 9, 12, 8:10 pm Does anyone know if this former DM partner has gone out of business? I was looking to buy some more stickers for newly acquired devices and it seems to be gone. BoeingBoy May 9, 12, 8:26 pm They have a UK website (http://ww2.trackitback.com/gb/en/main/index.htm), but I can't get the US site to load. Jim Coolers May 10, 12, 10:09 am I've no idea if they're still around, but if so, shoot me a PM and I'll send you a bunch. AZ Travels the World May 18, 12, 1:47 pm I bought a new suitcase and applied a TrackitBack sticker to it. I went to the website to register the bag. I can't get either the US or Canada sites to load. So I called the 800 number they print on the stickers. The recording, "You have reached a non-working number at Apple Tree Answering Service. . ." I found a number for the HQ in Winnipeg and while the auto attendant answered the call, I could not connect to anyone at any of the offered extensions. Bummer. :( Beckles May 18, 12, 2:43 pm Bummer, I actually have these stickers on my Blackberry and iPad ... might just have to make up my own I suppose. Guess this means the $2,000 in stickers I have sitting in my home office are worthless now ... BoeingBoy May 18, 12, 2:44 pm If you've got one of the internet calling services, try TrackItBack's UK headquarters - at least their website is still up. Upgrademe731 May 20, 12, 8:45 pm Well, I guess I don't have to feel bad about "wasting" the $1500 worth sitting in my drawer. ellinj May 21, 12, 12:34 pm There are a few competitors to TrackItBack but I am thinking I am better off just ordering some labels with my cell# and email address. DCAorBust May 21, 12, 2:06 pm There are a few competitors to TrackItBack but I am thinking I am better off just ordering some labels with my cell# and email address. I've been considering the same over the last week and reached the same conclusion. Once bitten... Seems there are good online options for getting durable customized asset tags printed. pinniped May 21, 12, 3:29 pm Glad I didn't buy these during GS2011. I bought one. I don't even know what I did with it. I just needed the hit... BergerPHL May 21, 12, 4:44 pm This got me thinking, I used the boomerangit site in the past, they still seem to be around. http://www.boomerangit.com/ ellinj May 21, 12, 4:56 pm others, havent tried them though http://www.mystuffid.com/return-for-reward.asp https://www.imhonest.com/store.do https://www.rewardtag.com/ ellinj May 21, 12, 4:56 pm I've been considering the same over the last week and reached the same conclusion. Thats not too bad, I was looking at the metal ones, which would be much more money. catdad May 22, 12, 5:05 pm Wonder if we can make a chargeback with the credit card company for a refund of the TrackItBack purchase price? TrackItBack is a Canadian company, and this may complicate things with the credit card company. marion10 Jun 13, 12, 10:18 am I won one of these at the Chicago 2011 DO and was just trying this morning to register it. Sure glad I got it for free. jhwend Jul 11, 12, 2:16 pm I've been trying to replace a broken plastic tag I received for Christmas. Received pleasant answers on the phone (at least four times) and received zero results over the past two months. Couldn't take the time to stay on top of this, and I'm not too surprised that the website is down (again). The handling of this failure gives others trying to serve this market a black eye! keirnna Jul 30, 12, 12:32 am Yeah I doubt I could chargeback my sticker from last year, but it might be worth a try. ffI Jul 31, 12, 5:34 am Glad I didn't buy these during GS2011. BUT oh SO glad I did buy them in 2009 - 20 LH F class trips for my family for 2.8M miles for 20k at 1k per LH F round trip. I still have 6 fedex boxes sitting at home. Can I now give them to charity? Or can I take a business deducton for the "loss" of value or use?? Travelergcp Jul 31, 12, 7:59 pm Aren't they pretty much worthless without Trackitback.com to back them up? TallestHotelInJapan Aug 1, 12, 8:17 am Glad I didn't buy these during GS2011. The Grand Slam is not about the TrackitBack sticker - it's about the miles ! legalalien Aug 1, 12, 8:24 am FWIW, my only lost item with a TrackItBack sticker (a PDA left in a seat pocket several years ago) was never found/returned. :( chris Germany Aug 5, 12, 11:09 pm Hello, Can anyone send me some pictures of the trackitback stickers. I figured why pay the extra charge for the handling of the return not knowing how long these places would be in business. I bought some asset tags with my phone# and email and put them on just about everything I own alanh Aug 7, 12, 2:57 pm Although TrackItBack offered a "reward", it was in free TrackItBack products unless you kicked in your own cash reward. So I wonder how many finders called and then decided not to do it since they wouldn't get cash. katiebandstra Aug 16, 12, 3:16 pm Since Track It Back is gone, I respectfully suggest trying FoundIt! http://foundit.net/ It's simple and based in academic research. You get an instant text and email with the Finder's contact info and message and YOU arrange how you want to get your stuff back. Your info is safe. No one has your name or email. Rovets Oct 8, 12, 1:12 pm I used to have a track it back sticker. I liked the service so I bought rewards if found from the USAir email I got and it seems much better than track it back. It has more labels and other cool stuff. here is a link again from above: http://www.rewardsiffound.com/usairways.html?promo=USAIR1 obiron Mar 6, 13, 3:24 pm You could also try our site: www.getmystuffback.co.uk.
