Club Carlson - Please welcome jpdx as the Club Carlson moderator

I'm pleased to announce that jpdx has just become the moderator for the Club Carlson forum. He has been a moderator for the Mileage Run forum for some years. This forum has become a much more interesting place in recent months. Club Carlson has launched some excellent promos that has motivated some of us who didn't even know the Carlson name to stay in their properties. I know that I am now reading this forum regularly. Recent hints certainly indicate that we are likely to see a rich summer promo. Hopefully between all of us we can build the forum, contributing more reports on hotel stays.

Thank you, guys! I'm really excited to take over moderation of this forum. Although CC isn't one of my primary programs (I have top tier status with SPG, Hyatt, HHonors, and IC), I think it's a program that has a lot of potential. The recent promos suggest that CC are trying hard to grow their program, and I hope that we can capture some of the interest generated by the promos to grow this forum.

In the next few weeks, I'm hoping to:


Start a master thread with information about CC
Reorganize the properties thread, and create new master threads about individual properties
Have a go-to sticky for the upcoming promotions
And more...


Now, for this effort to be more than a fun distraction that makes my life more bearable while my spouse watches Gossip Girl, I need help. Your help. Your ideas are appreciated (via PM or this thread), and your contributions are needed. So please, the next time you have a choice between drinking heavily to drown out the mindless conversations between Serena and Blair (omigod, I remember the names!) and writing a report on a recent stay at a Radisson, choose the latter.

I love the way the SPG and Hyatt forum are organized, and I've gained a lot from reading these hotel forums on FT. My hope is that we can do something similar with the CC forum!

Very good news. jpdx has done a fine job at the Mileage Run forum, and it sounds like he has energy for this one. (Agree emphatically with his hat tip to Peter and Mark re the Gold Passport forum.) I could have written SanDiego1K's introduction, and also re the Carlson breakthrough promos of the last year, coming out of nowhere on my horizon, at least. Reminiscent of another program that was near and dear to my heart.*
