Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan - Where to Eat at YVR

Next week we'll be arriving at Canada Place in the morning on a cruise and will fly out of YVR on Horizon to SEA at 1:30pm. We'd like to have a light lunch, maybe a decent sandwich or salad preferably after security and relatively near the departure gate. The YVR map is slightly confusing but it looks like there's a Hudson News & Euro Cafe in the terminal Horizon uses. Has anyone had experience with this place? Any better suggestions?
TIA.

Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel's many restaurants have better food...

White Spot - at the Canadian domestic departures section (before security)
Most of the better restaurants are over at the Canadian domestic departures section.
FYI - the entire YVR airport is one big terminal. From Canadian domestic section to US departures section takes you 3 mins walking !
Fairmont Hotel is directly above US departures hall.

There really isn't anything decent to eat after security.

The small plane terminal was undergoing renovation early last month so not sure what is there now and whether the work has been completed (will find out tomorrow as I'm flying out of there).
If you want to eat airside, just continue down to the main area instead of the 90s gate and regional terminal (connected via a long walkway), and then head back when it's time (not worth waiting in that terminal).

'roach did not confirm - yes, still under destruction. Actually, the old smallish restaurant at gate 96 at the international commuter aircraft terminal had great hot sandwiches. I hope those will return!

Post security (and US Immigration/Customs) you're rather limited, as you're in the Transborder wing (E-gates) and have no access to the rest of the airport without 'reentering Canada'.

As of Wednesday last week, the satellite is more complete but still not much foo offering there (not that I've ever eaten there).

Thanks for the replies.
We were one of the first off the ship and were able to get to the airport early enough to change our flight from the 1:30 one to the 11:45, so figuring out where to eat wasn't a consideration anymore. As of the 17th the only food in the 90s area was some pasties and packaged sandwiches.
The free fairly speedy wifi was a nice feature at YVR.
The taxi out to the runway was a long one.

That's the best outcome of all.
I concur about eating at the Fairmont if I have time and want a good meal, or at one of the restaurants near the domestic side. I don't eat after security in the US departures area if I can avoid it.
And yes, since departures nearly always use the South runway, it is a long ride from the US terminal to the departure runway. Late night arrivals often land on the south side as well.
