I conducted a search, but didn't see this posted. I'm not sure if this is a targeted offer or not (I have a Amex Platinum, personal), but I received an e-mail from Amex about earning 6X MR points for several retailers:
Now it's even more rewarding to celebrate Mother's Day, Father's Day, and graduations. From May 1 - June 30, 2012, you can get 6X points when you shop with your Platinum Card ® on membershiprewards.com/earn at:
Apple Store
J&R
Omaha Steaks
Home Depot
HP
Lands End
Tiger Direct
Kohls
Saks 5th Ave.
Choose from the latest tech gear, cool new fashion, and more. It's easy to find great gifts for those you care about most with the Membership Rewards® program.
Remember that 6X includes the base point earned by using the card. It's really a 5 point bonus for using the shopping portal.

i'm in canada and when i go to membershiprewards.com/earn i see different earning bonuses for different merchants. they seem to range from 3x to 10x. Apple for example is 5x. FTD is 10x. best buy is 3x. still not too bad since we often get the short end of the stick up here.

Do any of these apply to Canadians? I'm not sure if your comment at the end is "not bad" because we don't get burned on this one as Canadians, or "not bad, you guys are lucky south of the border" because we always get burned.
As far as I know, there's no bonuses available to us for anything. Amex Canada website has no information detailing any bonuses, for instance, we get nothing for using the Amex travel website in the USA with a Canadian Amex card, or the in house travel products (CTS/PTS). No points referral is available, if you change country on membershiprewards.com to Canada you just get redirected to the generic Amex Canada page.
There's very little information on how to earn MR in Canada, just lots of info on how to spend. As far as I can tell it's just your basic points per dollar to acquire them.

FYI.. You have to go through their portal. They will not grant exceptions to this for purchases already made within the offer window.
...when i go to membershiprewards.com/earn i see
I think you are seeing the lower rates which apply to USA-issued Green and Gold cards. To see the higher Platinum and Centurion rates the USA cardholder needs to login.

Yes, that's correct. Thanks for the clarification.

you're right. when i checked the other day and then posted my comment above, i thought i was looking at offers for canada. after reading your comment, i wanted to look again so i could share with you. now i can't find it so maybe you're right and this isn't for canadians.
the amex website should win an award for being one of the most user UNfriendly sites anywhere. the links go around and around and it's so hard to find what you're looking for.

thanks.

It sounds good timing to buy stuff from apple store.
I have access to the MR shopping portal from AMEX Business Gold Card and Premier Rewards Gold Card, but currently I am working on my spending with Chase Ink Bold. Will I get the 5X MR points if I go through the MR shopping portal and pay with another credit card (ie. AMEX prepaid card/visa/mastercard)?
To be eligible to earn bonus points, you must be a U.S. Cardmember and enrolled in the Membership Rewards program at the time of purchase and you must charge your qualifying purchase through the membershiprewards.com/earn website on an eligible, enrolled American Express Card.
