Hello all,
I understand that there are an abundance of posts on the topic of making flight connections at CDG, but after hours of research and reading I am left with a few questions still and am hoping that someone here will be able to help.
My itinerary is:
DL18 LAX-DTW
AF377 DTW-CDG
2h30m connection time
AF1700 CDG-MAD
I will arrive 2E at CDG and (judging from what I have read) will walk to 2F. My first question is, do I go through immigration before heading to 2F or do I go to 2F and then go through immigration. From what I have read there seems to be people doing this either of these ways. I don't plan on checking my bag, but if I do (as this would allow me to walk/run faster) would I have to claim it at CDG and recheck it as this is will be my point of entry into the schengen zone? My last question is how likely is it that should my flight be delayed arriving that I will be met by an agent to assist me in transferring? (I've no elite status will FB or SkyMiles) If I am not met by an agent, will I be able to attempt to use the No 1 Access line at immigration?
From what I understand, my plan will be as follows:
Arrive (hopefully ontime) to 2E
follow signs to 2F
go through immigration
go through regular security checkpoint
follow signs to gate
