I'll be connecting BD-OZ at LHR, and thanks to rebooking of my ticket, I'm stuck with a fabulous 5 hour layover at Terminal 1.

As BMI is leaving Star Alliance, I assume my M&M silver status will be useless to get access to any of the lounges.

So simply put - any ideas on how to spend this much time at LHR?

Thanks^

BD is indeed out of *A. However, lounge access and other benefits apply for all alliance carriers, except LH, through May 31. You are correct that your LH status doesn't help for lounge access. 5 hours is a little on the short side to head into central London. You could scoot over to Windsor for a ramble around. Or see if you can find someone kind enough to guest you into the *A lounge.
Also, search is your friend ... similar request to your earlier in the year http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/u-k-ireland/1239992-5-hours-lhr.html

Head to Richmond. It's a nice place and the 285 bus from the central bus station and a train from Feltham will get you there in around 30-40 minutes. Plenty of good places to eat, some ok (but unspectacular) shopping and the chance to sit down by the Thames.

Thanks for your feedback guys ^

I've posted a request in the M&M forums for someone willing to guest me in the *G lounge ;) If anyone here would be so nice please PM me

I don't think M&L FTL ever got you into lounges of non-M&L airlines, but that's not really making a difference here.

There is a Servisair GlobeGround pay-entry lounge at T1.

If your BD inbound flight is a domestic, make sure you follow the connections route (on the left before the one-way exit gates) to save yourself waiting in line to be rescreened.
