I've just had had KF incorrectly 'grab'some miles/SC's. When my TA made the booking, it was with my Velocity number (didn't even have a KF account then). WHen I checked in at the airport , I confirmed they had my Velocity number on the booking so the points would go across. (didn't want the saga getting a retro like the last one with MH that took >3 months).

Anyway, similar happened, been chasing Velocity for months, as I put the retro in via email, then a couple of weeks ago was finally told that I should do it on the phone if I want it done quicker (not mentioned the month before when I called to check on progress). Finally called again last week and was told by Velocity that they could net get the points across as they had been credited to my KF account. They tx'd me to a KF phone number, but it was the wrong one.
I called KF today (good on them for being open on a Saturday, so I am not burning billable hours). They initially said that once they havebeen creditedto KF they cannot be transferred to Velocity. I explained that steps I took and that I did all I could to ensure that they were going to be credited to the Velocity, and that I didn't want my recent BNE-SIN-PEK trips in J to get similarly wrongly credited.

They are going to put in an appeal to the relevant department, which may take 6-8 wks, so it looks like I will be flying QF for months until I can see if SQ know what they are doing or not. I struggled to understand/be understood so am concerned that the relevant facts may not be listed in the grounds for appeal.

Does anyone have an SQ email that I can put this in writing to?

My Velocity number is even listed on my KF account as the KF site says that they will make transfer of points easier. My travel agent warned me not to try to get too complicated with the bookings, so I took his advice and kept it simple (I thought)

This question is really for SQ, isn't it? You've flown on SQ (i assume - it's not really clear), you've somehow had your SQ FF number added to the booking, and SQ have credited to that not velocity? I am not sure what the issue with Velocity is - either SQ let them credit it (and presumedly pay them for it) or they don't.

Try looking here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/singapore-airlines-krisflyer-500/

How did your SQ number get on the booking in the first place?

Though I flew on SQ. This is more of a cautionary tale for DJ flyers though. Still waiting to hear from SQ, I see they have taken the Air China Miles out of my Kris Flyer account, but the DJ ones are still sitting there, so will keep waiting.
I've just made SG with DJ anyway, but if they credit through will push on to WP. Otherwise will fly QF to get my Status up with them as I won't have enough points to be WP with both.
Yes, it appears the problem lies with SQ, however DJ should make it clear you should ring if you want your points credited in a reasonable amount of time.
I have just noticed that some previous MH flights took 3 months to credit, and they SC's are showing as expiring from when the flight was flown. This is contrary to advice DJ gave over the phone, that the points would expire 12 months after they were credited. The points were of absolutely no use to me while they were in their 3 month limbo. so I only have 9 months to use them to go for WP anyway, which sucks.
