Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer - SQ A380 SIN-HKG Y Upper Deck

Hi, I'm new here and am here to find out if I can secure upper deck seats on the A380 for SIN-HKG on SQ. I've flown the SQ A380 on Y Upper Deck SIN-HKG, 2 years ago and absolutely loved the experience onboard. This time round I decided to do some homework to ensure that I could get them before I decide to book those flights down so I called up SIA's ticketing office for outbound on 9th and inbound on 13th, they told me that only business class was available on the upper deck, we checked on the whole week and it was such, though he did say that there may be a change of aircraft with the old config and that he could not guarantee though it was possible.
So I went on to check on this site (not sure if reliable) which provided aircraft details of SQ856 for the past month, http://data.flight24.com/flights/sq856/, and noticed that there were A380s with the old configuration deployed at random on the SIN-HKG.

My only concern is whether or not I would get on the upper deck on the A380 in Y. If I do not get on the Upper Deck, I'd rather switch to a Cathay 773 which is cheaper with rather similar service.

Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks a whole bunch

SQ's sole flight to HKG is now all Business Class on the Upper Deck.

Chances are that there *might* be a last minute change IF the aircraft goes tech.. but if it isn't announced , then there won't be any Y seats on the upper deck on those aircraft.

To put it straight and blunt... you'll be on the CX 733. :p
