Alitalia MilleMiglia - Seating advice for magnifica on A330

I am flying with my wife JFK-FCO in June and the equipment is showing as A330
which I gather is the new version (expert flyers shows it with alternating seats and also has classica plus).
When I called to assign my seats the agent suggested 7H and 7J (across the aisle) but looking at the map it seems like E/G in 1, 5 or 6 would be a better choice for the two of us.
Since I would like to sit with her :) what seats are the most suitable?

Does anyone have a photo of the cabin to see the actual seat layout?

The E/G seats are the "honeymoon" seats which are right next to each other, with just a divider that you can add or take away depending on wether you know the other person or not.

Thanks - that sounds like what I am looking for. Any thoughts on row 1, 5 or 6? My guess is row 1.

Here's another question: I have 1E/G selected on an upcoming flight. It's a little hard to tell from pictures and the seat map: can you see out the windows from these seats, or are they forward of the first windows in the cabin?

Can't be sure as I've never been in row 1 on the A330.
Last flight was in 2A and thought that it was an amazing seat
Hi everyone,
The seat 1E 1G are far away from the windows
They are pretty good though.
The closest you can get to the window is by choosing 2A 2K 4A 4k etc etc

Thanks everyone - I switched to 5e/5g for this flight

It's 2L right? I have 2L and I chose it because I want the seats closest to the window and farthest from the aisle. I think the way it works is that any seat that is B or K is closer to the aisle, and any seat that is A or L is closer to the window.

In most planes the letters (where present) A, F, L are window seats, B, E, G, K are middle and C, D, H, J are aisle. I don't think I've ever seen a seat named "I", funnily enough.

I am booked on June 21st, and it seems like all JFK-FCO flights are operated by the A330. Does this mean that they will all have the new J class? On the AZ website it only says one flight from JFK will offer new J.

Hello all, long-time reader, first time poster.
We are going on our honeymoon next Feb, on AZ609 JFK-FCO on the A330 in Magnifica.
After reading the comments here and checking out some pictures, I tend to agree with the notion that the E/G seats are the best seats for a traveling couple.
The folks at the Alitalia call center definitely do not agree, and are ADAMANT that the seats we want are 7H & J, as those are the "honeymoon seats."
Web sources for seat maps are pretty limited or clearly incorrect, I can find pictures of the forward part of the Magnifica cabin but not the aft section to make heads or tails of what Alitalia is telling me.
Can anyone tell me why Alitalia insists that 7H & J are the "honeymoon seats" when logic tells me there has to be an aisle in between them, rendering them farther apart than the E/G seats?
Thanks for your help.

I hope most operators know better (try calling again) because according to the seat map on Alitalia's own website it is quite clear that E, G are right next to each other, whereas H, J are an aisle apart and not even aligned:

The same goes for the reconfigured 777's.

Thanks for the reply. I'll try again with them. 2 different operators said the same thing to me, leading to the confusion.
Thanks again.

Interesting to see more and more interest in AZ - especially due to their longhaul J
Great to see^
