Hello,
we are flying AMS-IAD next week with KLM/Airbus 330-300 and I would like to know if the KLM Aircraft parks at the Jet Bridge and passengers are brought from Terminal to International Arrivals Building via mobile Lounges or does it Park at a Hard stand and passengers go with plane Mate directly from plane to Arrivals Building?
Or is both possible? I would be very happy being it a plane mate, because it would give our arrival at Dulles such a retro-futuristic feeling.

Welcome to FT!
You will go back in time to the IAB (International Arrivals Building) via the mobile lounges.

They almost never dock them on the plane any more. You'll be unloaded into the concourse, then placed on a mobile lounge from there to the IAB.
The novelty wears off, trust me.

KLM normally parks at gate A14/A16 and you use the typical jetbridge to deplane. There is a short walk in a sterile corridor to then board a Mobile Lounge for transfer to IAB.
Note that the Mobile Lounge uses the same doors at one end for loading and unloading. Try to stay as close to the door when you board it so you will be among the first off at IAB.

Please don't. I can't flipping stand when people do that. It makes it nearly impossible for others to get on and just takes longer to fill it up and longer to get the thing moving and on it's way.
I know there are some folks who absolutely positively have to be at the front b/c the time saved is so worth it. For them, I hope they don't mind rollaboards over their toes.
Sorry, side rant. I like Annandaler. Really.
Everyone else is right. Gate, jetway to sterile corridor, sterile corridor to bus, bus to IAB.

Here's what you actually do -- there's a small space behind the driver's area that connects the two aisles. It's big enough for about four people. You don't block the aisles and you're off quickly.
But don't tell anyone! It's only big enough for four.

Yes, good tip, and do NOT stand where the Handicapped sign is near the front of the door (blue typical sign painted on wall) - I tucked in there in the 'perfect' location only to have to move at the very end of 'boarding' because a wheelchair came...my fault indeed, but a lesson that I learned!
