Hi all -

My girlfriend and I are planning to take one of the Michigan Service trains from New Buffalo to CUS in a few weeks - does anyone know if that line is using the business class cars that are effectively coach class cars, or the cafe/business class cars with the 2x1 seating? If it makes that much of a difference, is it best to just wait and upgrade on the train?

Thanks in advance!

It should be the latter, the very nice 2x1 club seats. Definitely book in advance. There are just 14 seats and they tend to sell out (especially with the usually-modest upcharge).

For that short a distance, I wouldn't bother -- from Dearborn or Ann Arbor to Chicago it's a different story.

Thanks everyone. Since I'm pretty sure we won't buy our tickets till very close to when we travel, I think we'll have to take our chances on BC.
