Washington D.C. (including Baltimore) - Equinox- How is ambiance?

Wife and I are taking a little weekend retreat to DC for anniversary (It was actually Tues., already did the obligatory nice dinner here), and are staying at the St Regis. Wanted to stroll over and check out Equinox for dinner tonight, how is the atmosphere there? I am a denizen of DuPont or Gtown when I go to DC usually, so haven't had a chance to frequent Equinox yet.

I thought you were asking about my former gym; so much for thread titles! :D Sorry, don't know about the restaurant.

I haven't eaten there, but it gets good reviews and looks nice. If I recall correctly, it was the first date night destination of the Obamas after the inauguration. (Which tells you nothing about ambiance, but it seems their burger joint excursions are usually separate.)
I guess this is too late for your query, but I've eaten there 3 or 4 times over the years (not in the last 12 months though). I've always enjoyed the food, and the service has generally been good. I did not consider it to be the most romantic of venues.

We popped in Equinox after all, was a very good meal, not outrageously priced, overall pretty happy! Certainly not a super romantic place, but we had done our actual anniversary already, so not a huge deal. Was good enough atmosphere for us that night! ^
