Next week I will be making my first Swiss flight since 1961. I am connecting via MAN and on this forums kind advice I have given myself ample connection time in ZRH. Having read the threads I think I understand the passport and security check procedures and it seems easier to use the Panorama lounge than stay in the main terminal. I would however be very grateful if someone could confirm the following points:-
1. I like to carry an additional bottle of water in my hand baggage to drink on my lengthy transfer from the airport. Can I acquire a bottle in terminal 3 and take it on board without problems ?
2. Is there a separate drinks service in J before the meal in addition to the champagne before take off ?
3. Approximately how long before landing do Swiss turn on the cabin lights and serve breakfast?
Many thanks in advance for all your kind help.

1. Will work if you arrive at a gate. If you have a apron position from MAN you may have an additional security screening.

2. Yes. Pre dinner drinks. Although on the late departures they will try do start dinner service as quick as possible, sometimes taking orders before departure even.

3. About 2 hours if i recall correctly.

Do a bit more reading because you should be able to spend time in the main lounges. Check the ZRH transfer thread for example.

Yes you can! But...
... prices for bottles of water were quite expensive after security :-( Why don't you ask in the lounge if you would get a bottle to go? Other option is to take an empty bottle through security and refill it on the restrooms. The water from the spin in Switzerland is 1a quality! We drink it too in the office at the airport :-)
