Qatar Airways Privilege Club - Transit questions

I am thinking of getting a business award FRA-DOH-BKK. Looks like I would arrive a 810pm and depart the following day at 805pm, giving me a 23.55min layover.
1. Is it worth while to do a layover in Doha? Is there things to see?
2. The transit option that QR offers, assuming I would have to pay the $150 per person, do I get to choose the hotel, and does it include the hotel?
3. If I booked my own hotel, how can I get a visa then? I'm looking for the IC (as I'm a RA)

Thanks for the fast response!
To get the visa on arrival, do I need to book anything through QR or is it taken care of at customs?

Hi Jason,
If you can get the visa upon arrival, you can find the accommodation on your own expense.
Or you can check the hotel rates from our web site through Qatar Airways holiday at http://www.qatarairways.com/global/en/homepage-holidays.page#
Best regards,
Alex
