Amtrak Guest Rewards - Wifi/cell phone reception on Palmetto
So I'm going to be taking the Palmetto on Saturday from DC to Charleston and there's a big soccer game that I really want to try to stream (Liverpool vs Chelsea FA Cup final!) and I was wondering if the wifi is better now compared to the past posts complaining about it?
I may just tether my phone instead if wifi isn't up to par, are there any dead zones that I should be aware of?
Amtrak says they only offer basic wifi and you should not count on streaming.
Also Palmetto only has wifi in select cars only which ones I do not know
"Delivered free of charge, this basic Wi-Fi service supports general web browsing activities. Due to limited bandwidth onboard the trains, our Wi-Fi does not support high-bandwidth actions such as streaming music, streaming video or downloading large files.

Gotcha :) I'll tether my phone or just try to avoid spoiling it and watch it later when I'm in Charleston if I can find a replay/download

I tried watching the UEFA games during trips down in the DC area on firstrowsports and ESPN3, but AmtrakConnect just isn't fast enough to support it (also, the trains have usually been packed since I travel during rush-hours, so that may be a factor).
I've used my XFinity 4g modem without problem, however.
Go Blues!
