Recent article on the reopening of Concourse A ended with this cliffhanger:

"Later this year, more improvements are planned, including updating the food court in Concourse B."

I fear this will lead to the current Concourse B smoking lounge behind McDonald's turning into a Chili's or some other mid-grade feeding trough. CVG is so broke and desperate for rental income, I wouldn't put it past them. Anyone have info on whether the smoking lounge will survive the food court renovation??

If it disappears, I know myself and the other dozen Diamond/Platinum smokers I work with will be flying out the cheaper Dayton airport to the north and say good riddance to CVG for good.

Do you mean one INSIDE security at terminal 3? I haven't been to the area inside security in terminal 3 yet. But they do have one OUTSIDE security in terminal 3.

There is one outside of Terminal 3 near the non-Delta ticketing counters (usually used by airport employees or by pax on cold, winter days), but the one I think is threatened is behind McDonald's in the Concourse B food court.

Could become prime restaurant space if they proceed with a food court renovation-- in which case, we'll immediately shift our business to DAY and I'll launch a "Snuff Out CVG" campaign with the goal of diverting as much revenue from CVG (which is one of the most expensive airports to fly out of) as they would generate from any restaurant rental income.
