Hyatt Gold Passport - Lake Tahoe/FFN Upgrade chances?

Before I call the hotel, I'm wondering if anyone has experience using FFN awards at this property.

We're staying there for four nights, in thurs, departing mon, all on FFN awards. I know Hyatts are not like Starwoods in so much as they are not generous with Diamond benefits on award stays.

Anyone have any experiences to share?

I have not stayed on FFN. I can tell you as
a Diamond they are treated well. If
available you will get a nice "room" on the
Lake. If lucky you will get a middle room
with a fireplace and possibly if really
lucky the connector to it. Get a room on
the Lake on the second floor. They have the
higher grand feeling. If not available you
will get a room on Club floor. Nice Lounge.
The Lone Eagle Grill is tops in our book.
Nice small intimate casino to take your
money. You will enjoy. Open a casino
tracking account and get coupons. Coupons
were good for many things including spa
services. Buffet was good and I believe
comp. for Diamonds. I would tell you about
my lucky machine but I have no idea how to
describe it other than it takes about 40
5 cents at a time. Regards

I've had no trouble receiving upgrades on award stays when I called the property ahead of time and advised the GM that I'll be staying with my family and could therefore use the club access, suite, etc.
