Avis - Fleet selection/service at San Diego?

Will be going to San Diego in near future, was wondering if anyone had any recent thoughts about service/vehicle selection there?

I'm assuming that since it's an international airport, the fleet will be large and varied, but always helpful to mine fellow FTers experiences.

SAN is one of two places that I have seen them have a luxury car waiting with the renter's name on a placard and the trunk open. The last time I was there it was an MKS that was waiting. The car was clean and ready, not still wet like us commoners get ;-).

The ladies working in their preferred office have been with Avis for 20+ years they will take care of you. Their fleet usually offers a good variety.

It varies week to week.But overall you can expect the standard mix of vehicles. I've seen cars from a Corvette, to a Prius, to a brand new 525.

I'm based out of SAN and as a CHM member, rent from them all the time. I echo jvick's comments. It's a great station and I encourage you to email the Chairman's desk to commend the staff if you get great service.

Curious what you prefer, the mks, or 528? I had a fully loaded MKS in June and liked it a lot!

I haven't had a chance to try the 528 yet, but it looked fairly base trim. OTOH, the '13 MKSes are fully optioned. I definitely liked the one I drove previously!
