Mileage Run Discussion - Maximizing MR out of MEX/GDL/BJX/SLP

Hello everybody,

I am looking to reach *G now in May, but still missing around 9k miles.
I prefer to fly on UA because I have some unused VDB vouchers...

I can fly out of MEX/GDL,BJX,SLP and prefer as destination either MIA or LAS.
I need to fly on 26.05 and return on 28.05

Unfortunately the chepeast price I got was to BOS from GDL/IAH?SFO/BOS/LAX/MEX that would net around 9k miles at 700 USD. Not the best price but out of mexico it is really hard to do MRs.

Any sugestions as how to maximize the route to LAS or MIA for a good price?

trying to combine a nice trip with some kind of MR I found a good fare around 900 USD from mex-gig in various days in may.

is this a good price to GIG?

also tried ANC but that is almost the same price for much less miles...

it gets you more mi than you were looking at on 5/26 etc for about the same money & a few days vacation in a new place.....

edit to add....for a may trip, us citizens would have to scramble for a vissa if they didn't have one...

the good thing is that as a EU citizen I do not need to pay for visa.

Departure tax from Brazil? Isn't it already factored in the ticket price.

I got mine MEX-GRU / GIG-MEX for $900 on CM 100% credit to AM Club Premier or UA MP.

I am still searching to get 9k miles for GOLD

This time I am looking at GDL,MEX to ANC flights. Seems to get conection only in IAH,SEA. Does anybody have the allowed stopovers for this fares? Dates are 26.5 to 29.5.

Seems that I cannot get another 1k additional for total of 9k.

ITA shows PDX and PHX too.
